Recommended Seasonal Tasks

• Remove all light fixtures from ceiling lights/fans to dust/wipe down
• Remove all vents to dust/wipe down interior
• Remove outlet covers to dust and inspect for pests

• Vacuum out all floor vents
• Vacuum out dryer vent

Some companies sell products to promote cleaner washing machines; ALWAYS read machines instructions first 

•  Disinfect the inside of all toilet tanks 
• Hand-wash all floors
• All doorframes and doorknobs**
• Wiping down all light switches/outlets

•  Dusting all knick-knacks on the tops of cabinets
• Dusting the tops of all cabinets

•  Taking out all food from pantry and wipe down/sanitize shelves
• Remove all food from fridge/freezer and disinfect inside of fridge/freezer as well as all shelving units/drawers*

• Rinsing out and wiping down the inside of all trashcans/waste bins
• Disassemble dishwasher and disinfect all parts, reassembling, then running a cleaning cycle with vinegar and baking soda*
• Cleaning inside oven (MOST ovens have self-clean cycles these days; ALWAYS read ovens guidelines first)
• Soap trays**
• Wiping down toothbrush holders**
• Sanitizing shower-head**

   Moving fridge and oven to vacuum 

• Wiping down/disinfecting all blinds
• Wiping down all fan blades with appropriate cleanser
• Remove all knick-knacks/picture frames from shelving units to wipe down/glass clean 

•  Move all furniture away from walls to dust the walls & baseboards, as well as vacuum/mop
• Move furniture from center of rooms towards outer walls to vacuum and mop (uplifting all area rugs if applicable)

• Launder mattress cover, as well as deodorize mattress
• Launder bathmats and area rugs (if applicable)

• Glass clean interior windows, as well as inside of windowsill
• Glass clean exterior windows, as well as wipe down window screens
• Glass clean cars interior windshield and windows*

• Sanitize recycling and garbage curb pick-up bins
• Sanitize cars dashboard, steering wheel, and handles
•  Take pet homes/crates outdoors to spray down, clean, and dry

• Sweep out the garage (if applicable)
• Dust and vacuum porches (if applicable)
• Check gutters for build-up
• Chimney sweep (ESPECIALLY in the spring after heavy winter season use)
